World Class Touring right here at home

For my birthday celebration, David and I rode from Tres Piedres to Chama over the Las Brazos overlook, for day one, and stayed in a sweet B&B in Chama. Then, the next day rode Hwy 17 over Cumbres and La Manga Passes back towards Antonito. A local RV park guy (in Mogote) then shuttled us back to TP, where we then took a short drive in our camper to Ojo Caliente for terrific massages and a soak. We camped under the trees by the Rio Ojo Caliente.

I couldn't believe how incredibly beautiful the riding was! The roads were 60% new pavement with shoulders, 30% darn decent and 10% well, you know....But the scenery was breathtaking, and we got to race the train..! The colors were just turning.

This ride totaled about 105 miles with 3300' avg of climbing each day, but at a very friendly grade. I would do this again anytime. Who needs to fly somewhere? It's all right here. Call if you are curious or want to try this sometime.
