Asking for nice shoulders....

Need a herd of Queens to motivate the city council or even the Congress. Post here!

Asking for nice shoulders....

Postby dtbaker61 on Sat Jul 18, 2009 3:27 am

talking about ROADS, not movie stars. ;)

The Bike Coalition is making better shoulders a priority this summer/fall, and specifically trying to stop the practice common around NM where they re-pave the traffic lanes and leave a big lip to the nasty old shoulder.... very dangerous and awful to ride on as we all know. We are rounding up the troops and trying to officially change guidelines at State, County, and City level.

The City of SF has passed a resolution to discontinue partial-width topcoats, but the County just did exactly this in Eldorado! So , we are rallying troops and attempting to lean on the County to correct the situation. PLEASE come check out the thread at BikeNM.org, and register, and we'll let yo know when emails are needed to lean on County Comm and Public Works.

Check out what they did!
